warm and cozy clothing

It’s what I’ve always wanted but didn’t know they existed. Due to my poor sewing skills I never made them myself and now I found out that someone produces them: Fleece boot inserts for cold feet in gumboots. Great! Reminds me of Maiko and her fabulous kidney-warmers (unfortunately no photos online).

Finding the right travel guide

August 30th, 2007

…isn’t easy. A cheap and fun way to sightseeing is to use the moleskine city notebooks. They’re tiny (plus black – so looking into the map doesn’t instantly reveal you’re a tourist), filled with a map, a subway map, sheets for notes, categories such as eating and drinking, shopping or accommodations (you can actually create your own categories, eg. money spent, online links, etc.), a few more nice gadgets and a pocket at the back (eg. to keep tickets).
I might get one for Venice as that’s a place I keep coming to and always spent a lot of time looking for “that shop” or “that certain Osteria”… It might even be fun to have one of your hometown.
