Clever packaging

January 31st, 2008

I have a thing for clever packaging. Somehow weird to package pills in candy paper, but on the other hand that might come in handy.
That’s what it says on the website:

“A patient have a right to know their pill’s information, effect and prescription. This Pills are wrapped in candy’s paper, so the patient can naturally recognize the pill’s information. Also they are albe to easily know what kind of pills when missed their packet of medicine or prescription.”

::shortwalk:: Vienna #01

January 29th, 2008

Sun was out last weekend (long gone now) and I had time for a walk around the city. Took a few photos from the Lobmeyer showroom (love it, so expensive, but great old shop design and great stuff they sell) went on to have a melange cafe at the Havelka Cafe and then – something I can only recommend to everyone walking out the city and wanting to have a small bite of nice chocolate – I had a Betthupferl (translates to something like a snack before bedtime). You get it at the United Chocolate store right in front of the St. Stephan’s cathedral.

Melange: (French pronunciation) 3/4 coffee, 1/4 milk – no whipped cream!

So the walk I took was: Started off at the Albertina towards Kärntnerstrasse where Lobmeyer is located, then quick to the United Chocolates at the St. Stephan’s cathedral (just opposite of the main entrance) and then back to the Graben and right, maybe the 3rd or 4th street on the left hand side is the one where Hawelka is. If you wanna order something a loud and convincing: “Herr Ober!” is required.

Back from a break

…and lots of new stuff to show. Have you seen this? A 16-year old Aussie boy wanted to throw a party while his parents were away on holiday. He posted a invitation on his Myspace page and 500 people showed up to his mid-sized home and started destroying the neighborhood. The police had to be called in and, in the end, the partiers caused an estimated $20,000 in damages. The best part? He’s not sorry… (from: todaysbigthing) Watch the video here. Hilarious how the interviewer tries to make him apologize… And what a nice example of how to turn things into a cult by creating this t-shirt:

I don’t have a category for that… hm, might do a bit of a clean up around here.

Oh, and no – I’m not saying throwing a party for 500 people in your parent’s home is a clever idea… Interesting that the 500 people showed up because of a myspace post (great viral marketing in a way)
