LeWeb08 – the 2nd day

December 10th, 2008

Well, we are already at the end of the conference here in Paris. It’s still cold, the food is not enough and boring (more on that over here)and quite a lot of people already left. Ah well… there are still some interesting people around.

What happend since our last post:

Yesterday night we went to the myspace party at Palais Maillot. Funny thing – with myspace being so cool and a place for artists and musicians – you would expect the same from a myspace party. Somehow most people thought so as well but honestly I was a bit dissapointed. Anyhow, Lukas and I definitly had the coolest shoes around ;-) Still fun, most people who didn’t leave around midnight ended up drunk and dancing. I even saw someone (businessman, around 60yrs old) doing the jump style!! (krocha) ;D

Today we listened to some of the speakers, eg Marissa Mayer from Google and Robert Scobles presenting the winning team from the start-up competition, which is Viewdle “a facial recognition powered digital media platform for easily indexing, searching & monetizing video assets”. Pretty cool stuff.

Lukas pushed some photos online on flickr, if you wanna see more. Up next is a dinner and the techcrunch party.
