As I’ve been running around in my flip flops/jandals/thongs the last 6 months and I’m still holding on to them at least for a little longer I’ve just remembered a genius ad I was of a beer brand when I was in Melbourne. Barefoot Radler, is a beer with lemon juice stating less is more, more a less. No preservatives or additives added and it has a nice package design.
It’s only now that I noticed their pretty funny videos.. probably the first and last appearance of Austria before Australia ever seen. (most common conversion with locals in Cambodia: “Where you from?” “Austria” “Sydney or Melbourne?” “…”)

In der Schweiz, in Spanien, und in Frankreich nennt man einen Radler Panaché (französisch für „gemischt“)
Eine besonders in Bayern verbreitete Variante ist der Russ oder Russe (Weißbier und Zitronenlimonade)
In Mitteldeutschland nennt man die Mischung aus Bier und Limonade Ententeich. (oida, pfui)
In Österreich bezeichnet man die Mischung aus Bier und der Kräuterlimonade Almdudler als Almradler oder auch einfach als Radler. In Vorarlberg unterscheidet man zwischen „süßem“ (mit Limonade) und „saurem“ (mit Mineralwasser) Radler. Letzterer wird ansonsten in Österreich als „Soda-Radler“ bezeichnet. (schon mal Sodaradler getrunken, anyone?)
In Norddeutschland wird stets Pils verwendet und die Mischung heißt dort Alsterwasser, kurz Alster, benannt nach der vorgeblichen Farbe des gleichnamigen Hamburger Gewässers.
In einigen Regionen des Münsterlandes wird Bier mit Orangenlimonade gemischt und als Wurstwasser bezeichnet. Wahrscheinlich hängt dieser Name mit der Farbe des Wassers, in dem Bockwürste eingelegt werden, zusammen.

Anyhow, with this cute self watering plant pot other plants could stand a chance of surviving in my flat. Whenever the squirrel disappears from the hole the plant needs more water. Easy peasy. The thai company Qualy Newarriva that also sells some other awesome products, eg. the log that disposes paper towels (love the green thought behind it!) and the key ring that you plug in to a fake power point when you get home (on the very left in the lower picture).
