An American (Apparel) lovestory
OK, I admitt, I’m probably the last person in Vienna to visit the American Apparel store on Mariahilferstrasse. And, I agree with most of the things:
Michaela talking about good photos on tschlip.at, person.antville.at posting about not having to travel anymore and Michi talking about how we have to get modern ;-) on cooloutfit.at.
Anyhow. The results:
1hour American Apparel, 1 hour Komolka.
I did however buy the awesome, glorious, funky, wicked, shiny and best ever turquoise belt at AA, some sporty socks (Maria actually posted about them here) and I will (thanks, Mum) get one of those lovely, sporty bags (haven’t decided on eigther the nylon version or the shiny version)
My love, the dress however came from Komolka and my sewing machine at home turned it into what you can see here. I’m pretty sure I’ll make myself another one, if anyone’s interested I’ll post a d.i.y. turtorial.
So, tatataataaa… this is how my dress turned out:

stimmt, aber es haben auch wirklich alle ganz aufgeregt darüber berichtet und ich hab mich total geärgert nie auf die mariahilferstrasse zu kommen um auch mitreden zu können!
und, ja… AA hat eine chance verdient. Was Materialen und Preise anbelangt bin ich allerdings auch noch seehr kritisch…

Du solltest auf solchen Fotos ein bisschen mehr lächeln. Finde ich. Außer bei Trauerkleidern.

Die von American Apparel lacht auch nicht. Ausserdem sind Lovestories immer auch etwas traurig… zumindest wenn sie gut sind. Aber vielleicht steht mit uns meinem Kleid noch ein happy end bevor, dann lach ich vielleicht auch ein wenig ;-)

sorry i can post any further photos at the moment as i’m in australia at the moment and travelling till autmn. i am however planning on making more dresses when i get back.. meanwhile i can only recommend you to take the messurements of your dress and try to copy it :-) good luck and all the best, lea!
