surgical music
I’m getting my wisdom teeth surgically removed next friday. Last time they didn’t tell I could bring an iPod for during the surgery, so that I wouldn’t have to listen to the drilling and stuff… Well, this time I think I’m gonna take one with me and plug one in (I still wanna hear what the surgeon has to say…;-)
Soo… the question is what kinda music should I listen to? I think I’m gonna get myself the Nip Tuck Soundtrack, but otherwise? Something calming? Something christmassy? Any good suggestions or experiences?

Coulda tell you that straight cross the table but how about something more teeth-grinding music? some good olde uk punk. better not something rhytmic as you could start moving to the music and that might turn out horrible.

na…nix ruhiges….muss laut genug sein um den driller zu übertönen…und nichts was du noch öfter hören willst weil die musik wird dann jedesmal zahnweh verursachen… ;)

day’n'night sounds very soothing and i’m downloading robin thicke right now as I don’t know him, sounds a bit cheesy from what I’ve heard so far though…

Wie wär’s mit den alten Platten von Tangerine Dream? Wenn dir der noch a bissl zuviel lokale Betäubung gibt dann könnt’s interessant werden….

Ok. So, it’s over and done. Wirklich laut hören kann man eh nicht, weil der Arzt ja mit einem kommunizieren muss – und es auch irgendwie besser ist wenn man hört: “so sollte das ausschauen”, “sehr schön”, “jetzt sind wir gleich fertig”, “und draussen ist er” (das spürt man nämlich nicht so genau). Delirium music ist dann eher für die Tage mit Parkemed passend… oder man pumpt sich einfach mit jeden Schas der in Amerika an Serien produziert wurde (namentlich: Gossip Girl, Californication, Grey’s Anatomy – nicht gleich post-OP, 90210…) voll. Oder man sucht dann irgendwann bessere Drogen. Oder so.
